December 2-4, 2005 - We concluded our fall season by traveling to the NASC ITT's in Kissimmee, Florida, near Orlando . The best men's Senior and Developmental Territorial sides played over the weekend. On Saturday ,Florida Old boys played one another all day. The NASC ITT's attracts many of the best rugby players in the US. Many Coaches travel to this tournament to see the players in match play and some players are viewed and selected for Developmental and National Teams. The mens select sides playing included Pacific, West, Midwest, Northeast , MARFU, South and Combined Services. Pacific was the defending champion. The womens ITT's format has been changed to the Spring.
There are USA rugby selectors who select players for the Developmental and National Teams from this tournament. In addition, referees are evaluated on their performance. It's always a great enviroment for top notch rugby.
On Saturday the U19 Florida Allstars played the U19 Potomac Rugby Unions Allstars. Potomac won 20-15. Brogan Poalini scored two big try's for the Potomac Rugby Union in the match. Brogan currently plays rugby for West Carrol High School in Washington,D.C./Maryland. Connor Kelly scored the other try for the Potomac Rugby Union.
On Friday and Saturday ,the Midwest Developmental won both matches over the West. On Friday,the following mens Senior Territorial sides won their
matches:
Northeast over Combined Services
Southern California over the South
MARFU over the Midwest
Paciific over the West
On Sunday, Combined services defeated the South
Northeast defeated Southern Caifornia in extra time
Midwest defeated the West in extra time
MARFU defeated the Pacifc to win the finals
